1. The tools necessary for this carving,
are a hacksaw blade with one end wrapped in duct tape to act
as a handle. The teeth of the saw blade should always point away
from the handle. You will also need a file of some type, or a
coarse piece of sandpaper. For the sanding you will require several
grades of silicon carbide waterproof paper, 240 and 600 grits
will do.
2 I chose an almost triangular flat piece of stone
to make the arrowhead.
With the hacksaw, I cut off part of the back to get it to a triangular
shape. Then notches are cut on either side of the back to form
the arrowhead shape. |
